My boss was supporter and person who helped me get job. Steps I had interview and waited for their response. Difficult part was waiting because for this spot there was one more person. Everything in my case took time. If a person looking for a job at school I would offer some advices such as self starters, good cover letter, dedicated, collaborated, flexible and  be resilient.

Allison Pell is the principal of school. I interact with her everyday via email. I work independently, outside programs came to school I’m in charge of it. “Now she is supervising the intern from IHSL.”-admitted Shahzod.

10. What are two examples of challenges you face working here?
I have challenges with multitask-a lot of things going on, prioritize-what is going, it’s difficult to decide and difficult to raise money that school needs, because the budget is so big every year.

11. What is the best part of your job?
General the best part of my job is doing things with kids. Beside that is the staff and community are dedicated, so fun and inspire work here.

12. What is something you would like to change about your job?

The things you doing are very helpful and really great, access for program. Important thing that I don’t have time to do, I will ask you to do. For instance building board, portfolio uploading.

            - Visit what job is what in real life.
            - Gain your observation and take serious for future life.

At the end I was excited and my supervisor Ms. Meghan concluded, “Who made them, good questions, we had more fun than I thought.” Another task is finished on time and my excitement lets me share my blog with supervisor.

Post # 1: First Impression of The Week

March 5th is the day when I started internship at IHSL. From school at 12.00 pm all the way to 225 Adelphi Street where is the Urban Assembly Academy of Arts & Letters located. This is the place where I will intern 10 weeks. My supervisor’s name is Meghan Joseph. She works at middle school, Director of Development & Partnerships. I'm her assistant helping with affairs in school. My job is to help her with many different tasks. She has room 309 on third floor which is her office also where we are working together. She is very attention on work, well know what to do. She has patient, is open-minded, enthusiastic, respectful, integrity, compassion and flexible person. Beside that she is good in multitask.
My environment is good enough. The room I have middle size. There are one shelf next to the door, two tables where my supervisor’s and her partner’s, bright colored room with one desk and big copy machine. I met a lot of people. They were parents, teachers and of course police officers for school safety. I have completed a lot tasks. Some of them were organizing, creating folder for advocating school work to other people. I work with kids, computers, basically office work with papers.
We made schedule that good for us. My schedule is Monday from 13:00 until 17:00, Tuesday and Friday from 13:00 until 15:30. I arrive at home in an hour and twenty minutes, sometimes it depends on the train schedule. Mostly I come to home on time. I want to stay on this schedule for rest of the internship. I quickly adapted to middle school life. I already spoke with students. They are smart kids. I would like to share some feedback about school. In general school is the same from outside but the inside they are different. People are very respectful. There are special rules I learnt about stair ways right side to go up, left to go down. Everyone follow it. I like to work with them and good not only in communication or language skills but also it is good to see the middle school life. The last thing I want to share about coming event and me with my supervisor working on it.  I like to have internship here.
